Privacy Policy Statement

You have signed an application form for membership of Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated a member Branch of Football NSW and Football Australia. This Privacy Policy Statement relates to the collection, maintenance,use and disclosure of personal information about you and provided by you and in all future communications between you, Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated, Southern Districts Soccer Football Association Incorperated,Football NSW and Football Australia directly or indirectly.

1. Collecting organisation and what information we collect

In its capacity as an affiliated member of Football NSW and Football Australia, the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Branch collects personal information. Such information may include name, date of birth, address, telephone number, e-mail address and grading status.
Football Australia, Football NSW and the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Branch maintain a member's register, which may include personal information as summerised in the dot point above.

2. Purpose of collecting information

The primary purpose of collection of personal information is the maintanace of registers of members to facilitate registration of the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Branch with Football NSW, for insurance purpose, for appointment of the games to members, for communication with members for such appoinments ( either by telephone, mail. web site or e-mail), for communication between members to facilitate the provision of car pools, for travelling to games, for facilitating communication between members, for discussion of laws of soccer, for re-grading of members, etc. Additionally, the information may be used to manage and administer the activities of Football NSW and Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated to include payment of fees and charges as levied. We take reasonable steps to ensure that whenever we collect, use or disclose personal information it is accurate, complete and up to date. The Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated Branch will take all reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify all personal information if it is no longer required for any purpose for which the information may be used of disclosed under National Policy guidelines.

3. Consequence of not providing information

If you do not provide complete and accurate information, the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated Branch and Football NSW may not be able to effectively maintain their member's register. If we do not get the personal information we need, we or any other involved organisation, may not be able to carry out duties associated with soccer referring. Except for the purpose stated in this Statement and Football NSW. Privacy Policy your personal details will not be provided or disclosed to any other organisation or company without your explicit consent, unless required by law.

4. Disclosure of information to other organisations

Your personal information may be disclosed to organisations outside the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated and of Football NSW and this may include internal or outsource service providers who complete operational tasks and manage the necessary components of our day to day operations to include information, technology services, market reserch, debt recovery requirements, customer inquiries, recruitment inquiries, insurance requiriments, match payment regulatory bodies, marketing and marketing services. This could include,recruitment inquiries, insurance requirements match payments, regulatory bodies including the Department of Fair Trading, NSW Police services, Medical services and the Australian Taxation Office.

Your personal information may also be disclosed to Management Committee members and or Office Bearers of the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated Branch and or Football NSW for the purpose of up-loading information into accounting systems managed by the Treasurer, mailing of annual reports by the Secretary, notice of meetings and clearance requirements for member application between other referees Branches.

5. Access to information

Prior to supplying any information to the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated Branch and or Football NSW you should familiarise yourself with the Privacy Policy. If you complete and sign any forms or notice of advice that are provided to the Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated Branch or Football NSW, it will be deemed that your signature is acknowledgment tha you agree to supply the information.

6. Photographs and Posting of images on the SDSRI website.

The Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated Branch may at its discretion use photographs taken at soccer matches at which you referee and post them on its website to promote refereeing or record your successful participation in refereeing.

The Southern Districts Soccer Referees Incorperated Branch has established a website http:///www.sdsreferees.com.au for the provision of internet content for its members and the worldwide web at large. Unless advised to the contrary, permission is deemed to be received for the purpose of posting uploaded images either individually or as a group. This is to advertise and recognise, either, social events, honorary appointments or special awards received by individual members or teams of referees from SDSRI. Members who do not wish to have their image appear on the website, should either contact the Webmaster or the SDSRI Secretary. Written consent by letter or email or by way of the application form is required for photos to be displayed on the website by members under the age of 18 years.
